If the Internet Setup Assistant is not on your desktop, look in:
your Hard drive -> Applications -> Utilities -> Assistants -> Internet Setup -> Internet Setup Assistant
Double click on Internet Setup Assistant.
Answer "yes" to the question, "Would you like to set up your
computer to use the internet ?"
Answer "yes" to the question, "Do you already have an internet
account?"
Now, follow these steps to continue:
The introduction then tells you all the information the assistant will need from you. Click the right arrow to continue.
Configuration Name and Connection Type: Give a
name for this connection -- e.g. "ncf"
How will you be connecting to the internet? Click on
the Modem button. Click the right arrow to continue.
Modem Settings:
Modem: select your modem from the menu.
Port: choose whichever port your modem is connected
to.
Does your phone line use tone or pulse? Click Tone
unless you know your phone uses pulse.
Ignore dial tone? Check this box if you want your
Mac to dial regardless of whether a dial tone is heard. If
your phone line gives some other kind of signal (for
example, a "stuttering" dial tone when you have new voice
mail), your Mac will not dial out otherwise.

What is the e-mail host for this configuration?
Enter "mail.ncf.ca"
What is the Newsgroup host for this configuration? Enter "news.ncf.ca"
Do you use proxy servers for internet connections? Click "No"
Conclusion:
If you want to connect right away, leave "Connect when
finished" box checked. Otherwise uncheck it.
Click on "Show Details" button to review the information
you have entered.
Click "Go Ahead" to finish the setup.
