Configuring the Remote Access Control Panel

Open Remote Access control panel.

The Remote Access control panel looks like this:

Select the "Registered User" option.

Enter your NCF accountID as the "Name".

Enter your password. You can choose to save the password so you don't have to type it in every time you connect.

Enter 520-1135 for the telephone Number. If you don't have a 56K modem, you can use 271-9768, which is located in Kanata and may be long distance for some members -- call it first with your telephone to determine if log distance charges apply.

Click the Options button, and click the Protocol tab.

Ensure that the options "Allow error correction and compression in modem" and "Use TCP header compression" are both selected. Click OK.
