Lindsay CarreauNational Capital FreeNet Board of Directors
What skills will you contribute to the NCF Board? 20+ years of sales and marketing experience with 8 of those in business for myself, I bring an entrepreneurial know how to the board. I have built a highly successful ecommerce business, specialized in entrepreneurial sales, and worked in large enterprises and small. I currently work at CIRA where we focus on Canada's internet.. and protecting Canadian online. So I see the NCF as a great place to not only bring my background and skills, but also relevant to the topics I speak about on a daily basis. What are the most important functions of the NCF for its members? I think that the most important functions of the NCF are to provide a simple and effective way for local businesses & individuals to not only know about the programs available to them through the NCF (awareness) but how to access it. Connectedness to the internet is a difference maker in allowing people to gain access to local services, education, and so much more. Why do you want to be an NCF director? I see joining the board at the NCF as an interesting way to offer my business knowledge, sales & marketing background, charitable learnings, and more to a board. The topic of a local organization and one in the area that my day to day career focuses on is of interest since I have lived in Ottawa my whole life and am interested in supporting initiatives to help Ottawa businesses and individuals grow successfully online. I think I have a lot of creative insight to offer. Lindsay Carreau (gc034) |
