Andrea HollandNational Capital FreeNet Board of Directors
What skills will you contribute to the NCF Board? Board experience – the most recent board I was a member of was the Alpine Ontario’s National Capital Division for 5 years–also a Not for Profit board. The board had to work with Alpine Ontario as well as regional clubs and our counterpart in the Outaouais Ski zone. I was also a past member of the board of NCF and participated in several board committees. Technology and leadership experience – I am a long time technology professional who has worked in continuously expanding mandates and roles, from individual contributor to senior leader in organizations that included start-upsand large multinationals. Network – I have a significant networkof contactsin Ottawa as well as in the province. I hope that I may be able to leverage that for the benefit of NCF. Collaborative – I am a very optimistic person who tackles issues with an open mind.I am known to be very collaborative and most of my success has been because I bring people and organizations together. What are the most important functions of the NCF for its members? To continually find low cost local solutions and options for internet solutions for itsmembers. NCF must continually advocate for the rights of itsmembers to have access to these services. Why do you want to be an NCF director? As a long time technology professional and former board member, I would like to give back to the technology community in Ottawa. I hope to use my experience and relationships to help the NCF board and team continue to see success. Andrea Holland (es170) |
