Mr. Ian MacEachern
Executive Director
National Capital FreeNet
Sept. 18, 2002
Dear Ian,
The Board of Directors of National Capital FreeNet meeting last night, September 17, 2002, voted to accept with regret your tendered resignation.
The Directors instructed me to tell you that they appreciated your willingness to 'stay on the job' until November 30, to assure continuity and to assist with the formidable task of finding a successor and to bringing the person up to speed on the challenges facing NCF.
Further, the Directors appreciate your skilled work in introducing order to the situation you found at the time you became Executive Director. The debilitating long-term modem problems were solved and the technically-complex HRDC/Smart Capital initiatives, webmail and NCF Internet Desktop (Thin Client), readied for launch. Your technical/financial management of these things was a major contribution to NCF's drive to become self-sustaining.
The Board thanks you for your dedication to the aims and objectives of NCF and is grateful that you will help your successor prepare for the challenge of exploiting the solid foundation you have put in place.

Sandy Campbell
Secretary
