Ian Gibson - Candidate

Ian Gibson has been involved in the sales and marketing of high technology products and services with a variety of firms in the region for 20+ years. Currently, he provides an array of sales and marketing consulting services to a variety of early stage technology-based companies. He has served on the NCF board for about six months. He also sits on the board of Causeway Work Centre, an Ottawa-based organisation, which provides employment and life skills training for persons with mental illness. He is also active in his west-end Ottawa community and his church. He is part of a team that is developing a Social Purchasing Portal (SPP) here in Ottawa which helps to redistribute B2B (business to business) purchasing so as to create job opportunities in the 'selling' firms for hard-to-employ people.

Going forward, Ian is interested in finding additional ways to help the NCF remain relevant and supportive to the greater Ottawa community.
