Resources

We are working to capture more of our digital literacy resources in print, video and audio so they can live on. In the meantime, here are some resources we have already produced:

• The Low Income Services Handbook, vol. 1: This handbook offers step-by-step instructions on how to apply online for the Ontario Electricity Support Program and the Canada Learning Bond.

It was produced in 2017 by summer students Khadra Ali and Adam Godlewski with support from the Canada Summer Jobs program.

It was part of the "Access = Skills = Opportunities" project we did in collaboration with Ottawa ACORN, a low income rights group.

It was funded by an Ontario Trillium Foundation Seed Grant.

• Saved with a Click Handbook: Coming soon! This handbook covers a range of ways people can save money online, safely and while respecting copyright.

It was produced in 2019 by summer student Rami Hilan with support from the Canada Summer Jobs program.

It was part of the "Saved with a Click" project we did in collaboration with the Ottawa Public Library.

It was funded by the City of Ottawa's Community Economic Development program.

• We also have a number of handouts and info-sheets that were given out as part of Past Workshops.
  
• Handbooks that are no longer relevant for their technical value but still important context to the development of NCF are on the History page.
