For the instructions for Windows Live Mail, click here.
These instructions are for NCF members who wish to setup Microsoft Outlook Express for the first time. If you have *already* setup Microsoft Outlook Express and are having trouble sending mail, try these steps.
Configure Outlook Express to send and receive email at NCF by the following:
Display name: | Enter your name as you would like it to appear on outgoing mail |
Your email address: | accountID@ncf.ca (e.g. ab123@ncf.ca) Click here to reserve a personalized email alias. |
Mail server type: | Select POP3 or IMAP (what's the difference?) |
Your incoming email server: | mail.ncf.ca |
Your outgoing email server: | mail.ncf.ca |
Your account name and password: |
Enter your NCF accountID (e.g. ab123) and
NCF password. 'Remember password' is recommended. Do not select "Log on using Secure Password Authentication". |
The above configuration should work even if you are using a wireless laptop at an internet cafe. The transfer of your password and email between your computer and NCF will be protected by SSL.
